In My Wildest Fantasies by Julianne MacLean

"In My Wildest Fantasies is a pleasant flush of romantic adventure. The beginning of the Pembroke Palace Series, Devon and Rebecca’s story will surely win reader’s hearts."

Rescued by a handsome stranger years before, Lady Rebecca Newland has not forgotten her mysterious gallant. Four years later she is still hoping for a chance to attract the elusive Devon Sinclair, hoping he will once again save her; this time from a man she detests.

Devon has been summoned back home by his mother. Banished for a time, now his father gives him and his brothers an ultimatum; marry by Christmas or lose their inheritance. Rebecca Newland may be the solution to his problem, and her hero worship works to his advantage; he will marry the naïve young woman without getting involved. Besides, she has an erotic diary he wants to explore.

This well written romantic romp begins with a heroic rescue and plants the seed of desire in a young woman’s mind. The characters are realistic and full of human flaws; Rebecca is a little naïve at times but that is part of her charm I think while Devon is a true “man’s man” who is not about to be caught in the trap of love. It is a lovely thing to see this man fall like a ton of bricks for the woman he thought to use to his advantage. The desire is explosive, the diary enriching the storyline and the less likable characters are redeemed in some ways. The promise of future stories in this series is an added plus and makes for great anticipation by this reader. For anyone who loves a grand love story, In My Widest Fantasies is a great choice. Bravo, Ms MacLean.
