Review: Passion Untamed (Feral Warriors, Book 3) by Pamela Palmer

"Tension masterfully builds throughout PASSION UNTAMED as desire and danger swiftly escalates."

Insightful personal experiences are revealed in the third Feral Warriors story, and each disclosure makes a connection with the hero and heroine exceptionally powerful. This extraordinarily fascinating world created by Pamela Palmer becomes more believable as each new story comes to life with their dynamically engaging characters and enthralling scenarios.

Shortly after Paenther was marked with an animal spirit in the 1700’s, he was captured by a Mage witch who wanted the power bestowed on him. After months under the control of the witch, he was able to escape with the help of one like him and they both were able to become Feral Warriors, where he can shift into a powerful black panther. He is proud to be one the men who watch over the Earth, and when the one to whom he owes his life goes missing, Paenther travels to the Blue Ridge Mountains in search of his good friend. Although he does not hastily trust women after being previously deceived with such devastating results, he gives in to his passions when he meets a woman whom he cannot resist.

Once Paenther wakes up after their enthusiastic intimate moment, he finds himself chained in a cave and knows he is yet again the prisoner of a Mage witch. The woman soon comes to him and appears to sympathize with his plight, but he knows witches cannot be trusted to tell the truth. As an enchantress, Skye has been forced to work for a Mage sorcerer who uses her abilities to gather power by calling animals. She despises when any being is harmed, and fears the Feral Warrior she had to capture will be tortured or even killed. As Skye does all she can to keep Paenther safe from her merciless master, the attraction between them may be genuine but faith in each other will come more slowly. When it becomes all too apparent what the sorcerer plans to do with the power he receives from the shape-shifter, Paenther and Skye must overcome any doubts and choose whether to believe in each other or risk letting evil win this time.

When Pamela Palmer writes a story, the reader comes to believe every aspect could actually be factual. Although many of the circumstances are out of the ordinary, Ms. Palmer presents them in a manner where the emotional responses are realistic, regardless of the type of being. In fact, PASSION UNTAMED can inspire some reflective thinking as battles between supernatural beings with differing opinions can just as easily apply to the human race. Numerous conflicts also occur because of different objectives between good and evil, and the reader will find their own emotions being dragged into these clashes as their outcomes become exceedingly important. From the instant you enter into the world of the Feral Warriors, their hopes and dreams become yours, too, as individuals filled with malevolence must be stopped. In PASSION UNTAMED, those with evil intentions are especially despicable, and many of the scenes featuring them are darkly dramatic with gripping intensity. Most every moment of this story is emotionally charged, whether it is a physical struggle or a love scene, where sentiments are honestly expressed through words and actions. The pairing of Paenther and Skye is brilliant, as these two are total opposites plus enemies and both have hidden wounded natures which make trusting anyone difficult. It may have been the potent sexual pull attracting them to each other, and this magnetism is fervently passionate, but what truly makes them unforgettable is their reactions to the countless unforeseen situations arising around them. It is always particularly touching to see such a strong-willed and commanding man like Paenther be so gentle during a heartfelt scene. There are many more Feral Warriors who have not yet divulged their personal lives, and I sincerely want each of them to get the opportunity in future books. PASSION UNTAMED is a notable passionate romance, where the characters are endearingly appealing and mystical confrontations are captivatingly riveting.
