Review: LOVES ME, LOVES ME KNOT by Heidi Betts
Charlotte is hoping the yarn spun on her magical, heirloom, spinning wheel will do the trick for her niece Jenna. Lore has it that hers is a true-love spinning wheel and yarn spun on it will bring romance. She gave the yarn to Jenna as she left on her trip visiting craft fairs for two weeks. Jenna is staying at Charlotte’s home tanking care of her alpacas. That first night Jenna and her two best friends gather at Charlotte’s for a girl’s night of Mexican food and margaritas. After many many margaritas the women devise a plan to help Jenna get what she wants most, a baby.
Jenna and Gage have been divorced for over a year but neither one is happy. Jenna asked for the divorce as a last resort when out of the blue Gage announced he did not want children. That fateful night at Aunt Charlotte’s house, Jenna and her friends schemed to make Jenna’s dream come true. She could not imagine having children with anyone except Gage so they tricked him, drugged him and Jenna had her way with him by tying him to the bed with “the magical yarn”! Gage was a force to be reckoned with when he got free and discovered all Jenna wanted was his “swimmers”. How will Aunt Charlotte’s romantic spell work amid all the hostility?
Oh what a wickedly sexy yarn Heidi Betts weaves in LOVES ME, LOVES ME KNOT. So much action takes place in this witty tale that the reader can barely keep up. Amid giggles, sighs and laugh-out-loud scenes, Ms. Betts ensnares and entertains from the very first page.
