Review: Wild Magic by Ann Macela
Irenee Sabel’s goal is to get into a safe unseen and out of there with the evil artifact in tow. You see Irenee is a practitioner of magic and one of her abilities is that of a Sword, which can destroy evil objects imbued with evil/negative energy. Irenee runs into a problem with the “get out unseen” part of the plan when an unknown man comes in and can see right through her invisibility spell.
DEA Agent Jim Tylan is surprised to see a “glowing” woman who can unlock a “glowing” safe with a wave of her hand. But hey, she isn’t after what he is after in the safe, so he works with her to get the records he needs for the DEA to make a bust. However Jim is determined to find this woman again when they get separated leaving.
Little does Jim know that finding Irenee Sabel will throw him into a new world of magic, where the evil is even greater than he could have ever imagined
Wild Magic by Ann Macela is well developed and paced. The reader can feel the thrill of the chase when Irenee and Jim are in a car chase, trying to find the best way out. The characters were real, believable and had depth to them. I liked how even though Irenee and Jim are soul mates and were being pushed to come together sexually as soul mates, both wanted to wait, to be able to know each other better. Especially Jim, who is trying to understand Irenee and get her to understand that sometimes she needs to compromise and not act rashly.
I found out just before starting this novel that it is part of a series. I totally plan on reading all of the others, but I want you to know that this story completely stands on its own.
This is a great book for those who love magic, the fight between good and evil and soul mates finding each other.
Enjoy.

I absolutely loved this book! I’ve read the previous books, too, and highly recommend them all. Yes, you can read just one by itself, but it’s much more fun to do the series in order. Treat yourself to hours of fun reading!
