Review: One Night Stand by Julie Cohen

"Fun, fabulous and absolutely impossible to put down, Julie Cohen’s second Little Black Dress book, One Night Stand, is a terrific romantic comedy written by an absolute star!"

Eleanor Connor may have written seventeen sizzling erotic romance novels under the name of Estelle May, but her love life is anything but steamy! She hasn’t had a date in months, and cannot remember the last time she found anyone whom she considered to be remotely good-looking. Her best friend and next door neighbour, Hugh, however, has got none of Eleanor’s problems, and he changes girlfriends as frequently as Eleanor changes her socks.

But Eleanor is sick and tired of being alone, so when a drop dead gorgeous stranger walks through the doors of her local pub and begins to chat her up, Eleanor decides to throw caution to the wind and to have a one night stand with this guy – even though she doesn’t know the first thing about him! The following morning, Eleanor cannot believe that she’s behaved like a tart. But the shocks seem set to keep on coming, because she soon finds out that she’s pregnant! Shocked, frightened and flabbergasted, Eleanor turns to the one person who has always been there for her: Hugh.

Hugh can’t believe his ears when his sensible best friend informs him that she’s pregnant by a stranger! But when Eleanor asks for his help and support, he doesn’t hesitate and when she tells him that she wants to track down the man who impregnated her, Hugh decides to aid her in her search.

However, finding a man whose name you don’t even know proves to be quite a difficult task. But Eleanor soon realizes that the hardest task ahead of her is acknowledging the fact that she’s fallen in love with her best friend!

But does Hugh feel the same way about her? And even if he was attracted to her, could he possibly want to bring up another man’s child as his own?

Sassy, sexy, and very, very, funny, One Night Stand is a fabulous romantic comedy by a sparkling new voice in the genre! Julie Cohen has written a terrific tale of friendship, romance and new beginnings that will tug at your heartstrings and make you laugh out loud.

Charming, romantic and wonderfully feel-good, fans of Sophie Kinsella and Jill Mansell will not want to miss reading One Night Stand!
