Review: Don’t Call Me Sweetheart by Jeanette Ward

"Jeanette Ward pens a tale of true love that is almost lost with Don’t Call Me Sweetheart."

When his parents die in a car crash, Christian Dade is shocked to discover they had gone into deep debt to help his brother. Now it is up to Christian to save the family inn and heritage. Feeling he has no choice, Christian turns to modeling for romance novels. On his first job, he meets the assistant to the author who wrote the book he is posing for. Unknown to him, Whitney Lane is more than just an assistant; she is the novelist herself. The two feel an instant attraction which Christian ruins with his narrow minded view of romance writers and readers. The two part company with bitterness and regret but neither can forget the other and it would seem as if destiny will see fit to draw them together again. Will their quick tempers and nasty comments keep them apart or can they over come their differences and let love win?

Christian was annoying with his comments about romance writers and readers. Whitney had no problem putting him in his place. The problem came when it was blown out of proportion and the two could not stop sniping at each other. If it was not for the incredibly romantic ending, Don’t Call Me Sweetheart would have left me aggravated with both Christian and Whitney. With true love with in reach, they almost threw it away. The ending though is to die for. Don’t Call Me Sweetheart by Jeanette Ward is more than worth reading just for that.
