Review: Breakfast in Bed by Robin Kaye
This is a solidly good read. It has a fun plot, nice characters and an easy writing flow.
Becca Larson comes from a wealthy family but she is determined to make it on her own with no help from the family coffers or influence! She wants to find a gallery for her sculptures that isn’t going to show her work just because she is the daughter of a wealthy businessman and socialite mother.
Rich Ronaldi is a warm, hunky guy from an Italian family. He is a college professor hoping to get tenure.
Becca moves to Brooklyn to a one bedroom apartment her sister-in-law has let her sublet. She is dismayed to walk in on an extremely messy apartment. Her dismay escalates when she discovers the hunky Italian who claims that he is subletting the apartment from his sister.
Rich has been dumped by his girlfriend because he is not “relationship material”. He decides to convince Becca to share the apartment and teach him how to be domestic – cook, clean and even do laundry.
Between disastrous domestic mishaps Becca has to fight her attraction to Rich. He still is looking to win back his sexy ex but when he needs a suitable girlfriend to show off to his mentor at the college it dawns on him that Becca would fit the bill perfectly. He finally recognizes that she is not only handy to have around but sexy and smart too. Their chemistry really starts to sizzle!
Becca has made a good art contact through the college dinner but can she trust Rich now that she thinks he used her to get a promotion at work? Can Rich convince her that they can help each other and be stronger together than apart? Read this fun story to find out what Becca decides to do with her “Domestic God.”
