Review: Wild & Hexy by Vicki Lewis Thompson

"Vicki Lewis Thompson is an incredibly talented writer. Wild & Hexy takes you on another enchanting trip to that special community, Big Knob, Indiana, where anything can and does happen."

Annie Winston is returning home to be her sister’s maid of honor. Unfortunately, she is now divorced and some 20 pounds heavier. Working as a reporter, she combines her trip with series of articles on small town life. It is while researching these articles that she comes across some very interesting rumors about unusual sightings.

Ever since high school, Jeremy Dunstan has wanted Annie, but is too shy to act on that want. He needs something to bring out his wild side. That is where Dorcas and Ambrose Lowell come in. Exiled matchmakers for witches and wizards, they have decided to help humans. Annie and Jeremy are perfect for their next project.

Wild & Hexy is so many different things – laugh out-loud funny, sexy, and poignant with amazingly delightful imagery. After reading this one, you will never be able to look at roses and other common items the same way. Annie is perfect for Jeremy. Feeling she has failed with the end of her marriage, gaining weight and losing her high profile job, her self esteem was at an all time low. Jeremy, on the other hand, is someone who is very comfortable with himself, something he tires to share with Annie. Wild & Hexy allows us to visit with old friends. Dorcas and Ambrose are back working with George the dragon and they add another creature to the mix. Sean and Maggie are back also, giving us a glimpse into their life together.

Vicki Lewis Thompson has created another series of books to keep us anxiously waiting for the next installment. Beautifully written with clever conversations and action, Wild & Hexy will leave us on the edge of our seat waiting for the next one – Casual Hex.
