Review: Lord of Always by Cynthia Wicklund

"Lady Brenna Hilliard tried to avoid marriage once to Viscount Rutherford and now that her father has passed she is forced into the Viscount's life and he wants little do with her unless it is to make her uneasy."

When Lady Brenna Hilliard loses her father, she finds she has been forced into a marriage contract with Viscount Rutherford.  The Viscount is not only a rake, but there is an eerie sense of discomfort when she is around him as well as the contempt he holds for her is ever present.  Lady Brenna’s instincts are right about the Viscount and when he and his twin sister plan an unforgivable act against Brenna, a life changing moment happens to the Viscount.  Now he must find a way to win Lady Brenna’s heart and her forgiveness.

Lord of Always  has a very Gothic feel to it, I was thoroughly enchanted throughout the story.  I have not read such an interesting twist in a historical novel before, refreshingly delicious to read.  I was pulled in from the first page until the very last.
