Review: Stealing Home by Rhonda Gibson
Charisma Diner is mortified to find that her brother Joey has brought home a new idol who is teaching him baseball, Will Lovelace. Charisma attended college with Will, and Will has no idea who she is. Realizing that Joey needs a positive male influence in his life, Charisma agrees to let Will help with Joey but she keeps him at a far distance when their friendship looks like it could turn to something more.
Will made a vow along with his Bayfield Bachelors Club years ago, stay single until he is thirty. With Charisma in his company, he begins to realize what he maybe missing. Looking to God for guidance, he sees that being single is not all that it is wrapped up to be.
Stealing Home is a sweet story with wallflower Charisma becoming a strong confident woman and Will who was a flirt in college trying to become a new man. I thought this was a remarkable short story.
