Review: Agent Ex 1: The Spy Who Left Me by Gina Robinson

"In the first book of the Agent Ex series, Gina Robinson tells the story of an American James Bond-type spy and his soon-to-be ex-wife."

Treflee Miller loves her husband, but hates his job.  Her husband is a secret agent and is never around when she needs him.  Treflee decides divorce is the only answer, but she does not know where to find him so she can serve him with the papers.  She needs a vacation so she goes to Hawaii with her cousin Carrie and her friends.  When they arrive at their destination their handsome island guide greats them.  Treflee cannot believe her eyes.  The surfer dude before her is her missing husband!  Treflee knows at once that he is undercover.  She will just have to wait until she can approach him about their divorce.  Suddenly her life takes a strange turn.  Members of a Chinese Gang try to kill her.  A man identified by her husband as a traitor wants to date her.  Did she blow her husband’s cover and compromise his operation?

Ty Miller cannot believe his eyes when he greets the new guests and comes face-to-face with his wife.  He thought she was safely at home.  Ty does not want a divorce and hopes he has a chance to prove to Treflee that he still loves her.  Ty is undercover trying to keep government secrets out of the hands of the Revolutionary International Organization of Terrorists or RIOT.  The American traitor is attracted to Treflee and asks her on a date.  For the sake of national security, Ty convinces his wife to go out with him.  Suddenly everything he worked so hard to achieve begins to unravel.  RIOT thinks Treflee is a master spy and that Ty is only her dumb surfer companion.  Can Ty keep his wife safe from RIOT and still save the world?

In the first book of the Agent Ex series, Gina Robinson tells the story of an American James Bond-type spy and his soon-to-be ex-wife.  The action is fast and furious and the plot twists turn on a dime.  Ms. Robinson seamlessly adds humor to her story that will keep the reader laughing as things keep going wrong.  Will Treflee and Ty live long enough to re-kindle their love?
