In the Midnight Hour by Patti O’Shea
Ryne Frasier is a magical troubleshooter for the Gineal. Very strong, her job is to handle many of the misuse of magic or dark magic events that occur in her area. In addition, she has spent the past 6 years trying to capture Anise, her ex-mentor who has turned to the dark powers of magic. She knows Deke Summers, P.I. holds the key to Anise’s defeat. The only problem is that, when released, Deke cannot remember why Anise cursed him to live as a cartoon character. Even though Ryne makes it her rule to never get involved with a human, she is finding Deke increasingly hard to resist. As the danger escalates, and time becomes a factor Deke appears to be the key to Anise’s defeat. Ryne may have to trust Deke and that could mean breaking more than one rule, not only hers but that of the Gineal. Something she will have to consider carefully.
From the incredible beginning to the fabulous ending, In the Midnight Hour will keep the reader glued to their seat. Ryne, dedicated and intense, did not have time for a relationship with Deke. He was after all human and only a way to hopefully capture Anise. Deke, charming and very hot, had other ideas. He has a few surprising tricks of his own up his own sleeve as Ryne quickly learns. With enough sexual tension to light a stadium, Ryne and Deke come together in a blaze of passion. As they fall in love, so too do we as we hop on for the ride with Deke and Ryne and their amazing story. Introducing us to a world populated with all sorts of paranormal creatures, In the Midnight Hour will lead us to the story of Ryne’s sister, Maia. Patti O’Shea has created not only a memorable world, but also a memorable story with two lovable, unique characters. Definitely add this one to your list to buy.
