Review: EVERYTHING BUT A DOG by Holly Jacobs
Nana Vance has five love matches under her belt and has been called on to do one more for a distant relative of her friend Annabelle. This time the unsuspecting couple is a lovely veterinarian and a kind lawyer. Nana sets her trap with a dog she has recently rescued from the shelter. She and her two elderly friends pretend the dog is sick and they need help taking it to a vet. Jonah McIntire falls into the trap by helping the little old ladies and predictably is attracted to the beautiful veterinarian, Dr. Della McGraw. The only problem with Nana’s plan is that Jonah is allergic to dogs. Will Nana Vance admit that this match was never meant to be or will love find a way?
Award-winning author Holly Jacobs delights her readers with her heartwarming Everything But series. EVERYTHING BUT A DOG is the perfect conclusion to the series and should not be missed. Even though each story in the series is a stand alone book, you will not want to deprive yourself of a single one of these short sweet reads. Like all of Ms. Jacob’s fans, I will be sad to say good-bye to Nana Vance, her large loving family and multitude of friends but we are left with the image of her arranged relationships continuing as Nana diligently matches the ideal pet to their forever family.
