Ayodele “Della” Flynn’s marriage was rocky at best, but she stayed with it for her son River, and hoped one day  to recapture the love she once felt for her husband.  Since their move to Chicago, Della has had a difficult time adjusting just wanting to go back home to Peaceful Wisconsin, where she felt safe.  When her husband suddenly dies, Della is left with the wake of his actions and betrayal trying to find herself while leaning on God to lead the way.

This was a pretty emotional read, Della is struggling with her choices in life and trying her hardest not to repeat past mistakes.   I thought this was a very realistic take on second chances, beautifully written.
