It is not every day that a onetime derailment from normal behavior comes back to haunt you, and Dr. Caleb Paden is the epitome of propriety when it comes to upholding family values.   Of course he is a marriage therapist whose life depends on showing others he believes what he spouts, especially since he is single himself. Caleb’s  whole career begins to crumble though, when he finds out he has a child thanks to a one night stand many months ago.
Olivia Wells is conflicted now that Caleb has come to take away baby Liam who she has been caring for as her own, while his paternal mother gallivanted off. Olivia harbors some ill will where Caleb is concerned, blaming him and his books solely for the failure of her marriage and life as a single mother.   As Caleb is on the hunt for a wife who will follow his FOREVER marriage method, he finds himself drawn to Olivia who is completely opposite of what he is looking for.
Enchanting story, Caleb is a mess when it comes to his feelings. Olivia is spontaneous and has no issue with saying how she feels, but Caleb is looking for a calm plain relationship that he belives could be with her sister. As he continues to bumble through his idea of what a successful marriage should be, he begins to wonder if he has been wrong the whole time and if Olivia is the perfect fit for him. I thought this story had a lot of heart, you understand both sides even though one is more realistic than the other. Great read.
