Review: Hide and Seek by Sandra Wilson

Annabel Gresham cannot help but worry about her financial future! The codicil to her grandfather’s will and her own father’s recently altered will have just been stolen and Annabel’s finances are looking very unstable. If the missing papers do not turn up soon, her avaricious half brother, Lord Roderick Mavor, will get his hands on the lot! Annabel cannot possibly run the risk of allowing her wastrel of a half brother to get his grubby hands all over her possessions and leave her penniless, so she vows to find the missing documents and put her mind at rest. Even if she has to find Roderick’s best friend, who was rumoured to have stolen the important documents and hidden them in a brothel somewhere in London! Annabel has got plenty to worry about. She certainly does not need more trouble heaped upon her plate. However, Richard Tregerran has got other ideas….

A devilishly handsome rake with charm in abundance, Richard finds himself intrigued by Annabel. With fate conspiring to throw the two of them together, poor Annabel cannot seem to be rid of Richard. Richard might be the most handsome man she’s ever clapped eyes on, but she finds herself unable to trust him.

But with Annabel’s future at risk, will she finally realize that Richard is the only man who can save her fortune and make her life complete by being her one and only love?

Sandra Wilson writes fantastic Regency romps imbued with plenty of intrigue, mystery and romance and Hide and Seek is no exception. A wonderful tale of wrong impressions, rapacious rascals, sexy scoundrels and hilarious misunderstandings, Hide and Seek is another wonderful romantic story by a true mistress of the genre: Sandra Wilson!
