Demon’s Kiss by Eve Silver
Clea Masters lost her parents in an accident 20 years ago but since then she seems to have gained a light inside her that provides her with protection. Now with her grandmother gone, Clea feels that her path in life is not the right one. She especially feels this when Ciarran D’Arbois appears at her work, saving her from a demon. Ciarran belongs to the Compact of Sorcerers, a group sworn to protect and maintain the wall that keeps demons out of the human world. Now it seems that the wall is in danger from a rogue sorcerer and Clea is the key to taking it down. Ciarran finds Clea irresistible but knows that being with her serves to weaken him and yet he can’t stop protecting her. Clea does not remember but Ciarran was at the accident when her parents died and now they are tied together by that contact. Ciarran will need to explore and embrace his whole being including his ties to Clea if they are to succeed in keeping the wall intact.
With non-stop action, new beings and lots of passion, Eve Silver has introduced us to a whole new world populated with sexy men and dangerous beasts. Clea and Ciarran were well matched with explosive chemistry and their clever abilities used to keep them out of sticky situations. An excellent start, Eve Silver introduces us to another delightful series to add to our lists. If Demon’s Kiss is any indication, the next book will be highly anticipated.
